Today I want to share my personal therapy of overcoming the anger issues, depression or frustration. It may sound silly but trust me once you discover it, you’ll love it. This small piece of writing might be helpful to you too, so do give it a read. The Best part of this therapy is you don't need a doctor or medication for this. To fight your depression or frustration is a real big deal. I know because I did.

Depression and frustration are different set of emotions. In depression, you most of the time, kept it secret and keep fighting/failing it in your own but in frustration you become expressive. You want to express it in any way possible. Either by shouting, yelling, spitting out bad words or breaking things. These are solely my findings based on my experience.

Back in my college days, we had a competition for which every class was assigned a project for the given topic. It was a group project, and I was the leader. Which is a big responsibility. So for some silly reasons just before the competition, group members fell into an argument and left the project undone. I went so under pressure that I alone have to complete the project in a single day. This makes me so frustrated and angry.

So I came home feeling with the same state of mind, when suddenly mama bring me the plate of spaghetti and fries and my sister turn on the TV to watch a movie. I am a crazy fan of motion pictures. In a million of seconds all my anger and frustration was gone because my mind found the best distraction. I felt so relieved after that I completed the project with full zeal and energy. Guess what, our group stood first in the whole college.

So all you have to do is to find your distraction.

The best one, the pain point of yours, the weakness of you. Which has the ability to divert your attention even if you just think about it. It can be writing, book reading, eating, running, exercise, talking, walking, any person, cooking or even a nap. As in my case it is my favorite food, not any food, but my favorite one and any sci-fi, supernatural movie. This combination did wonders for me every time.

Do give this therapy a try. If found any luck in finding your distraction, or you are still failing at it, let me know in the comment please.
